~~~Selina's 4 Star Review~~~
What do you do when you are backed into a corner?  What do you do when your choices are taken away from you?  How do you survive when your heart no longer beats without its other half?  When two people have obstacles that seem endless to get through, when do you say enough is enough?  Meet Carson and Leila.  Two people who couldn’t be more different but have a connection that anyone would fight to keep.  The question is, will they fight for each other?  When someone gives you valuable information, would you take it seriously?
The story continues with the second installment in The Houri Legends.  Carson who was the investigating detective trying to solve the unsolvable case from the first book Jack and Djinn now has his story and adventure.  Leila is the bartender you met in the first book along with Carson when he would go to the local bar to unwind and process his case.  I remember getting a feeling that she was going to be someone important and I’m glad I was right.  Carson and Leila are the next piece to the story that I can feel coming to a point.  There are so many characters I see having a crucial part in this series and I’m extremely excited to read along this adventure.  There is a web of stories that are connected in a very important plot and I seriously can’t wait for it to all unfold.
The story plot came across as I would imagine it was supposed to.  The second book had its own life force but meshed well with the series.  The story read smoothly and I found the characters to be very likeable.  We got an in depth look with Carson and Leila’s lives.  The villain (AKA Hassan) was horribly awesome and Leila’s father had my judgmental meter going up and down.  I liked the fact that I had no idea how things were going to turn out. The story continued to keep me interested in the series and I’m looking forward to more in this series.  I would recommend this series and this book too to my friends.
*I have received an ARC for an honest review*
