~~~ Selina's 4 Star Review ~~~
Two people in very different situations are brought together because of grief.  There are many different kinds of grief.   Grief of lost love, time, family, friends, pets, opportunities and loss of reciprocation.  No one knows how you’re going to handle things when grief hits you.  You’d like to say you would react with the up most maturity but in reality you crumble and fall and almost lose yourself.  And you would have been lost for forever had it not been for that one angel.  The one who was meant to save you.  Save you from yourself and your demons. That’s what you’ll read in this book.  Two people who had to go through a rough journey to finally reach where they were meant to be.
I enjoyed this book.  I loved the flaws the characters had and felt it brought so much life to the story.  The writing style in some parts were a bit repetitive due to having both characters POV.  I’m not a big fan of cheating but I have read and enjoyed some great books that involve such things.  There were a few time I cringed due to the potential negative behavior of Autumn.  Her indifference towards her husband seemed a bit confusing at sometimes.  She has every right to feel strong emotions towards her husband but some moments I thought it felt off at times.  She went from scared to coolness and disinterest to paranoid.  I felt there were a few inconsistencies there but it didn’t throw me off the plot.
When I got toward the end of the book where we start piecing together all the missing pieces or learning if people can live with the outcome of things I was I bit disappointed.  I’m not going to lie and say the ending was my favorite.  You know when you’re watching a horror movie and the bad guy runs off and says “this isn’t over!” and throughout the whole movie you’re just waiting for him to pop out of some closet and attack the babysitter?  And when that happens you’re kind of like…that’s it?  I had a moment towards the end, not the ending but towards the end where I thought that.  There was a bit of an inti-climatic moment for me.  But when I moved past it I was very satisfied with the ending.
I thought this was a good read and I’m looking forward to more work from Kimberly Knight
Kimberly Knight lives in the
mountains near a lake with her loving husband and spoiled cat, Precious. In her
spare time, she enjoys watching her favorite reality TV shows, watching the San
Francisco Giants and San Jose Sharks kick butt, crushing candy on Candy Crush,
playing computer games like World of Warcraft with Audrey Harte and online
poker. Now that she lives near a lake, she plans on working on her tan and
doing more outdoor stuff like...watching hot guys ski. However, the bulk of her
time is dedicated to writing and reading Romance and Erotic fiction.
